NARRATIVE SUMMARY 1-5 Oct 69 - HMM-364 flew 565 sorties for 177.6 flight hours, lifted 20.6 tons of cargo, 829 troops/passengers, and expended 200 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Thirty-five medevac missions carried 19 Emergency, 32 Priority and 40 Routine evacuees. Sixteen enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-1 receiving 8 hits, and YK-4 receiving one hit. One aerial gunner KIA on 5 October 1969. 6-10 Oct 69 - HMM-364 flew 545 sorties for 174.9 flight hours, lifted 20.2 tons of cargo, 1,175 troops/passengers, and expended 700 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Fifty-one medevac missions carried 6 Emergency, 33 Priority, and 211 Routine evacuees. Five enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-7 receiving 4 hits, and YK-22 receiving 2 hits. 11-15 Oct 69 - HMM-364 flew 850 sorties for 239.4 flight hours, lifted 74.8 tons of cargo, 1,731 troops/passengers, and expended 1,500 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Seventy-eight medevac missions carried 40 Emergency, 90 Priority and 73 Routine evacuees. Six enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-10 receiving 3 hits. 16-20 Oct 69 - HMM-364 flew 934 sorties for 262.6 flight hours, lifted 36.1 tons of cargo, 1,047 troops/passengers, and expended 1,750 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. One hundred four Medevac missions carried 72 Emergency, 79 Priority and 114 Routine evacuees. Six enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-9 and YK-18 each receiving one hit. 21-25 Oct 69 - HMM-364 flew 879 sorties for 243.9 flight hours, lifted 72.2 tons of cargo, 1,416 troops/passengers, and expended 3,950 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Eighty-two medevac missions carried 38 Emergency, 91 Priority and 103 Routine evacuees. Twelve enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 26-31 Oct 69 - HMM-364 flew 867 sorties for 239.4 hours, lifted 32.8 tons of cargo, 770 troops/passengers, and expended 5,005 rounds of .50 caliber and 400 rounds of 5.56mm ordnance. Seventy-nine medevac missions carried 31 Emergency, 41 Priority and 55 Routine evacuees. Six enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-5 receiving 5 hits. To recap, HMM-364 flew 4,610 sorties for 1,365.8 flight hours, lifting 327.2 tons of cargo, 6,567 troops/passengers, 368 Medevac missions carried 940 evacuees of which 154 were Emergency, 226 Priority and 560 Routine. 12255 rounds of ordnance was also expended. Fifty-four fire incidents were reported with seven aircraft receiving hits. All the above were flown in support of the following Operations and Units: Pipestone Canyon and Victory Dragon. |

Intelligence
The Squadron Intelligence Section received and recorded intelligence informa- tion on a daily basis for adjacent and higher headquarters through pilot debriefs, spot reports and intelligence documents. A narrative summary of section activities is as follows: attended briefings at higher headquarters, conducting liaison with adjacent units, briefing and debriefing pilots, and routing of messages and documents of intelligence value to appropriate sections and personnel.
